Nuff, nuff, nuff respects to ALL that tuned in to the pre-carnival episode of the
Putting On The Hits show... a whopping 5 hour show (You can listen the first three at http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/9205357). The vibe was electric! It was so good to see so many new people logged in and interacting with the 'seasoned' listeners. You just can't pay for that feeling!
Apologies for those who were having problems logging in and/posting messages in the chat room.
Same time next week?

Thanks to all that tuned in to the Putting On The Hits show, which had its fair share of hiccups and hitches. At one point, there was no sound, then there was music but no mic, then the mic decided to chip in when there was like half an hour of the show to go. So we went on for another two hours. Didn't even tape it! Loved every minut...e, though.
Same time next week. More love.

Well again the CSEC results are out and we can once again celebrate. Along with the many students with 4,5,6 distinctions we have students getting all 8 subjects they sat in distinctions. There is however this outstanding young man who has gotten 11 distinction and is currently waiting on results for another subject-additional mathematics. Congratulations to all these students and the teachers who have all worked hard throughout the year to obtain these wonderful results. WE OLD BUT SURELY NOT COLD!!!
Carl Mighty:
Congratulations to all the students.. We are the best in the West - a no contest. Remember we are "A beacon in the west"
|
Simon Latham:
I, too, would like to pass on all my congratulations to all the students that fared well in the exams. Well done to all the teachers (and parents) that dedicated their time and efforts in order for these great results to manifest.
Manning's to the World!!

I would like to thank the Reunion planning committee - Neville Wilson, Donna Tomlinson, Simon Latham, Terry Paul, Clement Boyd, Gillian Larmond and Donald Gordon. This team held up their end of the bargain by delivering a week of events from the heart. As I get feedback from everyone on what a great job I did, I just want everyone to know the team that was behind me every day, every week, every month for the last two years deserves credit as well. Thanks again everyone for your support - there would be no us without you.

Well, all I can say is this: I'm so happy I had the opportunity to come to JA for the Grand 2010 Celebration & Reunion (almost didn't make it). The Manning's 85 crew have been working non-stop to make the events as successful as possible... and, by golly, I think our work is paying off. The Commemoration Service on Sunday was marvellous! Labour Day was amazing. The Memorial Service is going to be sombre, but great. Can't wait for Year Group Day (Wednesday), the Grand Banquet & Dance (Thursday) and the Sports Day & Concert (Saturday).
